Who is Jesus for me? Is He someone I follow, someone I let myself be guided by, in my daily life?
The hymn “Give your whole life to Jesus” directs our attention to Jesus. He is the One who opened the way for us, to follow after Him. He is the one true leader, the one we should give authority in our life.
The text draws inspiration from different biblical texts, particularly from Hebrews. Both 10:19-20 and 4:11-16 have clearly been inspirations for Marie Johansen in writing this hymn.
